Growing Together Behavioral, A School & Therapy Center for Autism

A school for children with autism and developmental disabilities, where they can become the greatest version of themselves.

Where Children Become the Greatest Version of Themselves

Some companies have a mission statement, at Growing Together Behavioral we are simply on a mission!  Our mission is to enhance the lives of children with autism and other developmental disabilities, by providing the structure, support and love needed to help them learn and grow in an ethical, safe and nurturing environment.  We strive every day, in  partnership with our families, to help each child become the greatest version of themselves!

We're Growing! Changing Lives!

We're growing, and we need your support!  Join in the mission of helping children learn and grow in their own individual and unique ways!  All donations are tax deductible and 100% will be used for our second location named GIFT, a functional life skills program for teens.  Find out more here.

Growing Together Behavioral Center is one of Jacksonville's premiere schools for children with autism and developmental disabilities.  We pride ourselves on being a school of high integrity where each child is treated as an individual, and educational plans are tailored to their personal needs.

For the 2019 - 2020 school year, we are excited to partner with 27 students with autism and other development disabilities, ages 3 through 15 years.  With a vision for the future and knowledge that there is a great need for more services in Jacksonville, we are planning for a second location in July 2020!  This new location will be for students age 15 - 22 in what we're calling the GIFT program (Growing Independence For Teens), and will not only allow us to serve this teen population, but will also provide space for us to serve additional children ages 3 - 15.  To find out more about our programs, and specifically our new GIFT program, please click here.

For each child, we  offer a comprehensive educational and therapeutic program, specifically providing students with customized academic plans, while integrating proven, research-based behavioral strategies into every learning task.  Our school is unique from the public school settings, as we are able to focus on the specific needs of each individual child, whether academic, life skills or behavioral. We are also unique in that we offer year-round school and extremely low student to teacher ratio (largest class 8:3), both of which are proven methods to help our children work toward their highest level of learning.

At Growing Together we believe that all students affected by autism and other developmental disabilities can reach their fullest potential through an education based in structure, fun engagement with peers, and loving teachers and staff supporting and encouraging them daily. Each child's individual strengths and challenges are continually assessed to direct the child's teachers in selecting the best methodologies to target the child’s current needs. We believe that open communication between teachers, staff and families is a must, and we have communication plans in place with each family to meet those needs.

We are proud to have:

*Year-round school (students have a total of 7 weeks off throughout the 12 month school year)

*Staff that is highly qualified and continues to participate in targeted professional development

*Full Day programs drop off 8:30 am and pick up at 3 pm (with the option to extend your day until 5 pm)

*Half Day programs drop off at 8:30 a.m. and pick up at 12 pm.

*Individualized and group parent training/support

*We accept McKay and Gardiner grants, the HOPE scholarship and most insurances

*Classes offered in 1:1, 2:1, 6:2 and other small class ratios, based on each child’s individual needs

*Located in the heart of Jacksonville, in the beautiful Southpoint area, close to I-95 and JTB

I invite you to contact us to find out how we can meet your family’s needs for the upcoming 2020 - 2021 school year.  We want to support you in this journey, it's not one to walk alone.  We can’t wait to become a part of your extended support family/team!
